Jiddu Krishnamurti
Jiddu Krishnamurti was born in Andhra Pradesh, India on May 11, 1895 and died in Ojai, California on February 17, 1986. Taken in at the age of thirteen by the theosophical society which saw in him "the instructor of the world", he was an unclassifiable thinker of the 20th century of great large-scale and uncompromising. His words and writings did not belong to any specific religion and were addressed to the whole world.
At the basis of his teaching was the conviction that fundamental changes in society can only be achieved at the cost of a transformation of individual consciousness. There was relentless emphasis on the need for self-knowledge,understanding the limiting and divisive influences of religious and nationalist conditioning. He always insisted on the imperative need for this openness, where " the Truth is a country without a path ".
