Astrology - definition

Astrology is a practice that studies the movements and positions of celestial bodies, such as planets and stars, to understand their influence on human life. It aims to determine an individual’s character, tendencies, and destiny based on the position of the stars at the time of birth.

Astrology is founded on the idea that each planet has a specific influence on humanity, and it can be used to comprehend past, present, and future events. Astrologers study the positions of the stars at the moment of an individual’s birth (or another defined point in time) to create a unique astral portrait that reflects their characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses.

The main elements of astrology are:

  • The zodiac: the 12 signs of the zodiac (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.) which represent different energies and vibrations of the stars.
  • Planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Each planet has a specific influence on humanity.
  • Houses: 12 sectors of the sky that represent different areas of life (love, career, health, etc.).
  • Aspects: the angles between stars that affect their respective actions.

Astrologers use these elements to create personalized horoscopes and astral analyses that help understand an individual’s character, tendencies, and destiny.
