Normally, we recognize respiratory cycles, circulatory cycles, and digestive cycles. These cycles and rhythms exist; we can verify this. Of course, they change considerably depending on the stimuli of different situations. They differ from one another. These kinds of rhythms are short cycles.
Similarly, there are daily rhythms: we get up, we take care of our business, we finish our day, we fall asleep, we get up, we take care of our business again, we finish our day, and so on.
This is how the human machine is organized, and it is one of the reasons why work is organized in this way.
There are daily cycles, monthly cycles, and cycles of biological stages. Work, for example, is organized according to age. It wouldn’t occur to anyone to place a five-year-old in certain production positions, any more than an eighty-year-old in others. Work is also organized according to biorhythms, long cycles. All of this determines human activities.
Human activities alter and modify these rhythms. New stimuli make their own small adjustments, but it is the biorhythms that generally prevail. They are fundamental; they direct our activities.
Everyone knows this, but sometimes we don’t draw many conclusions from it.
Biographical Cycles and Rhythms
Complete Cycle (360°) – 12 Years
The determining factors that influence the current situation originate in experiences lived 12 or 24 years ago, etc. These periods are linked based on the years involved and their associated emotional climates. This comparison of the past pursues two complementary objectives:
Understanding the sequence of biographical events and the logic of life’s functioning according to the law of cycles;
Enabling flexible, not rigid, planning for the future.
The Opposition Cycle (180°) - 6 years
This cycle involves the relationship with opposites. It offers the possibility of a synthesis and a rebalancing of the process. It involves readjusting the content without focusing on the container. For example, in the theme of marriage (the container), the essential question becomes: how to better experience the relationship? (The content).
The Triad/Trine Cycle (120°) – 4 years
When one chooses to move forward, this cycle favors decision-making and correction of the ongoing process.
Conversely, if one stagnates, old habits and past attitudes reinforce each other, leading to a crystallization or hardening of the process.
Quadratic/Square Cycle (90°) – 3 years
This cycle is characterized by a lack of freedom of action.
An attitude of submission is necessary: it is pointless to oppose a superior force.
It is better to retreat until it loses its intensity, then advance with determination.
The accumulation of unifying acts is essential here.
Sextile Cycle (60°) – 2 years
There is also no freedom of action, and even less so when it involves a relationship with an individual from another plane.
Attitudes of submission and understanding are required.
This cycle allows for the integration and recording of new attitudes.
