There are seven “planetary geniuses” (called secondary causes) corresponding to the seven classical planets (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn).
These geniuses are entities that are not necessarily endowed with “self-consciousness” like a human being, but with an intelligence whose role is to apply the “Seven Double Laws” that govern manifestation in the visible and invisible universe.
The functioning of the planetary geniuses is linked to temporal cycles (days, planetary hours): each genius has a “solar hour” of priority radiance, and the succession of priorities follows a precise order.
How Planetary Geniuses Work: The Cycle of "Hours"
- The day is divided into two parts: "daytime hours" (from sunrise to sunset) and "nighttime hours" (from sunset to the next sunrise).
- The number of "planetary hours" is not always equal to ordinary hours, because the length of day and night varies according to the season, latitude, etc.
Example: if there are 9 hours of daylight and 15 hours and 12 minutes of night, a daytime "planetary hour" would be 540 min / 12 = 45 min, and a nighttime "planetary hour" would be 912 min / 12 = 76 min.
- The order of priority planets (or celestial bodies) follows a sequence: Saturday (Saturn) → Thursday (Jupiter) → Tuesday (Mars) → Sunday (Sun) → Friday (Venus) → Wednesday (Mercury) → Monday (Moon).
- The planet of the day (for example, the solar planet for Sunday) is the first "planetary hour," followed by the rest of the order.
- The "priority hours" of the day correspond to the active aspects of the laws, the "priority hours" of the night to the passive aspects.
Practical Use and Implications
This is an esoteric tool that allows the student to align their actions, meditations, or rituals with planetary influences. Hence the importance of choosing the right day, the right "planetary hour," and knowing which combinations are favorable or unfavorable.
Thus, the idea is that human beings, through their intention or inner work, can "modify the functioning" of these influences, that is, benefit from planetary energy or protect themselves from it, as the case may be.
The benefit for the student: using these "planetary geniuses" as a framework for understanding their inner states, rhythms, and cycles, rather than as a deterministic external mechanism.
By combining symbolism (seven planets, seven laws, planetary hours) and practice (choosing days, hours, favorable/unfavorable combinations), it allows for structured work on inner alignment.
